Glogster as a Teaching Tool
Check out this neat primary-level example of Glogster as a teaching tool! Listen to the songs at the bottom of the Glog then figure out which pictures are part of the -at family. If you're thorough, you'll even find the mouse hiding from the cat. What a great way to practice blending and segmenting onsets! Can you think of other teaching applications for Glogster?

This was a fun posting, especially since I am once more teaching 'the fat cat sat on the mat.' I don't see this GLOGSTER as the primary teaching tool, but as reinforcement and practice; the songs are fun and the graphics engaging (they move!). I wonder how many more of these are in the glogosphere?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how many similar activities are out there but you're right: this offers a neat way to practice with kids. How fun it could be for kids to manipulate pictures and sounds with a Smart Board or an Interwrite pad!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this great glogster. What a fun way to practice phonics!
